Location: Yad Ezra Kosher Food Pantry
Reports To: Executive Director Job Summary:
Yad Ezra is seeking a dedicated Client & Volunteer Coordinator with a background in social work and strong computer proficiency to oversee client services and volunteer coordination. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that clients receive the necessary support while maintaining an engaged and well-organized volunteer base. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding the dignity of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Services:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with social workers, community liaisons, and partner organizations to provide comprehensive support.
• Maintain proper client records and oversee food distribution coordination, including delivery logistics.
• Provide referrals and resources while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Manage incoming calls, directing inquiries appropriately.
• Be present and available at all serving sessions to assist clients and oversee operations.
Volunteer Management:
• Work collaboratively to recruit, train, and manage volunteers, including individuals, groups, and student organizations.
• Develop and implement structured volunteer training programs to ensure a safe and effective experience.
• Oversee volunteer assignments during serving sessions and special events.
• Foster relationships with synagogues, community organizations, and schools to encourage engagement.
• Develop and oversee a volunteer retention plan, with a focus on younger generations.
Operations & Administration:
• Ensure the safety of all clients and volunteers during operations and events.
• Maintain and manage client and volunteer databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Establish and enforce protocols to ensure a respectful and organized environment.
• Address any challenges or conflicts with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW preferred) or a related field.
• Experience working with individuals facing food insecurity or similar social services.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems, including database management and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed (35-36 hours per week).
