Program Supervisor - JFamily Engagement

JFamily is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Supervisor to oversee our Parent Connectors initiative as well as our Sharing Shabbat program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relational engagement strategies, possess managerial experience, and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. This role is crucial in fostering relationships within the Detroit Jewish community and ensuring that families receive the resources and connection they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the JFamily Parent Connectors team, providing engagement support to enhance the program.
- Oversee the Sharing Shabbat program, including supporting up to 35 families and ensuring successful planning and execution of Shabbat themed events that foster community connections.
- Manage JFamily’s Challah Train initiative, coordinating logistics and weekly Parent Connector assignments.
- Promote PJ Library subscriptions at all JFamily and specific partner events.
- Develop and implement training programs for Parent Connectors to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills to successfully foster relational engagement among community families.
- Collaborate with community partners to expand resources and opportunities available to families.
- Monitor program outcomes, collect data, and prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, utilizing data tracking methods to inform decisions.
- Support Parent Connector pop up programming including scheduling and ordering materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, Jewish Studies or a related field (preferred).
- Proven managerial experience in a similar role, with a focus on community engagement or family support.
- Strong understanding of relational engagement principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and team members.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and track data effectively.
- Proficient in data collection and reporting, with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

This is a part-time position working 25 hours per week.
