Position Title: Preschool Teacher

Location: Temple Israel Early Childhood Center

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, Judaism, and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children. This role involves teaching and guiding our young learners, helping them develop the skills and knowledge they need for their future education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that align with our curriculum and educational philosophy.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured activities and play.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive educational community.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children, particularly in a preschool setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Knowledge of Jewish customs and traditions is a plus.
