We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time high school ELA teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Language Arts, a knack for engaging students, and the ability to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:
  • Design and implement engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with the school's ELA curriculum and standards.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
Instruction:
  • Deliver dynamic and interactive instruction to high school students.
  • Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and literacy among students.
  • Provide clear explanations of concepts and facilitate hands-on learning experiences when applicable.
Assessment and Feedback:
  • Assess student learning through various methods, including quizzes, tests, and class participation.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents as needed.
Classroom Management:
  • Establish a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Enforce school policies and procedures while promoting a culture of respect and cooperation among students.
Professional Development:
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in education.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous teaching experience at the high school level is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
Schedule:
