POSITION SUMMARY:

Jewish Family Service of Cincinnati is seeking a licensed Mental Health Professional to join our Youth Mental Health program, a key initiative addressing the unmet mental health needs of youth, teens, and young adults. This role will provide counseling, care consultation, community education, and embedded support within community partner organizations. Clinicians will deliver services in office-based settings on site, at our Kenwood Office location, and in community settings that include synagogues, day schools, college organizations, and camps. Clinicians will also offer mental health education and training to youth-serving professionals and organizations.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
  • Serve as an embedded mental health professional within community organizations.
  • Provide mental health care consultation and counseling services while embedded in community organizations.
  • Provide evidence informed clinical interventions to clients ages 5 to 30, and their parents/families.
  • Develop individualized treatment/care plans with clients.
  • Provide clinical support and assistance to encourage stakeholder use of Mental Health First Aid (training provided).
  • Deliver educational programming that promotes mental wellness.
  • Manage time, documentation, and tasks efficiently to meet required timelines.
  • Document client contacts and track data and outcomes to determine program efficacy.
  • Lead, coordinate, or collaborate with other initiatives and/or projects, as assigned.

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A master’s degree in a behavioral health field preferred.
  • Active, or pending, LSW, LISW, PC, PCC, MFT or IMFT, required.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in mental health service planning/delivery with preschool, primary, and secondary school age children, teens, and/or young adults.
  • Cultural knowledge of key populations served, including skills that support culturally competent communication and interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate with community partners and support program efforts within a partner organization.
  • Flexible schedule required: Clinicians must be available for services outside a traditional workday, including some evenings and weekends, based on client, agency, and community partner needs. Embedded placements may require alternative schedules. Work settings: Services are provided in community and office-based settings. Hybrid work may be available depending on program and client needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check
  • Physical requirements of this position include standing for extended periods of time and sitting for extended periods of time.

Pay Range: $27.10 - $36.70 per hour
