You’ll wake up each day (or at least most) and be genuinely excited to help students support their mental health and explore ways to promote their wellbeing through Jewish life on campus. This is so much more than your average 9-to-5.
MSU Hillel is “the place to be” for more than 3,500 Jewish students at MSU. Students take ownership of Hillel as their Jewish community center on campus. MSU Hillel's mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. As a JFS employee based at MSU Hillel, you will help strengthen the mental health and wellness of a new generation of Jewish leaders.
What You’ll Bring to the Job
- Self-driven, motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic about Jewish life on campus.
- Strong clinical skills with a passion to address mental health needs.
- Comfortable presenting in front of groups - outgoing and personable.
- Excellent follow-through on projects and the ability to multitask.
- Familiarity with Judaism.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working within a community-based organization and supporting staff in making referrals for support.
- Experience with Jewish education and outreach.
- Proven leadership skills and the capacity for effective teamwork and group leadership.
