GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION |
| Facilitate a group program for women who want to reenter the workforce. Employment service staff will also work one-on-one to provide support to job seekers including resume, cover letter, networking, LinkedIn and interview assistance. This role will also create and facilitate both in person and virtual workshop trainings on similar topics QUALIFICATIONS |
| Education: Master’s degree required in counseling, social work or related fields such as psychology, rehabilitation counseling, etc. Other: - Licensed or Limited License as an LMSW, LPC or have a related equivalent certification, preferred.
- One to three years related experience working with a wide range of individuals including those with disabilities preferred.
- Experience conducting career and personality assessments, group counseling and job placement preferred.
- Certification in Resume Writing required within 6 months of hire.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with clients, public and staff.
- Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and web-based databases.
- Composition and time management skills sufficient to prepare required case notes and correspondence as well as the ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently are needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform outreach and marketing activities to recruit participants for the Women to Work Program. Work with the Gesher Marketing/Communications department to develop and execute appropriate publicity plans to promote program services. Make contacts and presentations to current and potential referring sources to attract participants.
- Conduct group and individual intake interviews and maintain ongoing assessment of participant needs, including work history, education, training, job skills, salary desired, etc. to determine viable employment goals.
- Coordinate and conduct group-based Women to Work program.
- Administer and interpret career assessments and integrate career information to develop a long term and short-term plan.
- Assist clients, in groups and one-on-one, with resume writing, cover letters, job search, networking, LinkedIn and interview practice.
- Assist clients with informational services such as current job market trends, skill identification, self-directed job search training, resume writing and interviewing skills as needed. Provide guidance in support of the job seeking process.
- Conduct group workshops, in person and virtual, in job search, resume writing, interviewing, and other topics as appropriate.
- Develop business contacts through relationships with congregations and organizations to assist in the generation of job leads and postings.
- Achieve a placement rate and Career Development Plan rate that is consistent with agency goals.
- provide follow-up services as needed to employed clients.
- Refer clients to other Gesher programs or services outside the agency to enhance job readiness as appropriate and provide follow-up as needed.
- Promote Gesher employment services to area employers using marketing and job development techniques.
- Maintain all documentation associated with client records, job development and placement, file closing, and required statistical reports.
- Serve on Agency committee(s) as appointed

WORKING CONDITIONS |
| Environmental conditions: - Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
Physical requirements: - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, kneel to install computer equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting in required.
